Spring onions (or scallions) are more commonly used in salads or stir fries but they are also great grilled and served as a veg especially with chicken or steak.
- 1 bunch spring onions
- ½ tsp olive oil
- ¼ tsp salt
- Black pepper
- Remove the tops and bottoms of the spring onions and drizzle with a little olive oil
- Cook them either on a grill pan, BBQ or under the grill/broiler on a medium heat until they are softened and slightly blackened
