Spring onions (or scallions) are more commonly used in salads or stir fries but they are also great grilled and served as a veg especially with chicken or steak.

Grilled Spring Onions (Scallions)

Ingredients
  • 1 bunch spring onions
  • ½ tsp olive oil
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • Black pepper
Instructions
  1. Remove the tops and bottoms of the spring onions and drizzle with a little olive oil
  2. Cook them either on a grill pan, BBQ or under the grill/broiler on a medium heat until they are softened and slightly blackened
