Quick Edit: If children want to join in with a Random Act of Kindness each day for Advent I have created a little calendar plus some ideas (if you think they are appropriate for your little ones). It can be downloaded and printed here – Children’s Advent Kindness.
Last year I committed to a Random Act of Kindness every day for the rest of the year (you can read about it here). As it’s surprisingly hard to think of ideas when stuck at home so much I asked on Facebook for ideas of Random Acts of Kindness I could do from home.
My friend Rachel, picked up on the idea and encouraged me to share it on Facebook. I am overwhelmed (and a little bit teary) at how many people have committed to joining us to spread kindness and love, plus sharing what they do on social media to help create some much needed good news stories and put lots of love out into the world <3
Rachel words it far better than I can so…
“I would love it if we could have a collective of kindness.. We could do so much and bring so much joy both to ourselves and to others… So i want to ask as many of you as possible to join in, and maybe many of you do it already but lets record what we do and when we do it so we have good news stories instead of the fear rhetoric.. magical things happen at this time of year.. emotions are softer, people embrace humanity.. lets be more magical together”.
It’s really simple to join in. It doesn’t have to be big, expensive or complicated. Everything counts. The main this we ask is that you share what you are doing all over social media to spread the message and help create a snowball effect of kindness. Use the #AdventKindness and tag The School of Balance so we can all follow along.
Here are some ideas if you’re not sure where to start.
So…let me know, are you going to join in?
